Come join in on the fun on Third Tuesdays by participating in Art a la Carte at the Yadkin Cultural Art Center.
Each month we will offer a different art experience for you to sample. These are two – three hour sessions and all supplies are furnished. Feel free to bring a beverage of choice and a snack.
The artists need time to prepare supplies and projects so Pre-registration is a must! The cutoff date will be 5 p.m. on the Friday before unless the class meets maximum numbers before that time OR if the artist has specified another date. Sessions will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Check individual listings for specific registration cut-off dates and class times. If you do not wish to register online, you can stop by the Center and register with a check.

April 18 – Pet Mat (Beginning Floorcloths) with Lisa Drum
Tired of messy pet slobber all over your kitchen rug? Interested in a colorful and creative piece of art to corral those messes? This beginning class in Floorcloths will take you through the processes to create a unique, fun and sturdy pet food mat. Instructor will demonstrate floorcloth painting techniques: sponging, stamping, stenciling and brushwork. In this three hour class, students will use acrylic paint to create a one-of- a-kind pet mat. You can choose the size floor cloth you want to create:

May 23 -Claude Monet’s Cliff Walk at Pourville with Lynn MacMartin
Let’s learn about Claude Monet’s “Cliff Walk at Pourville.” We will explore Monet’s expressionist style using stroke, color and values to allow the viewer to experience his use of bright colors in dabs and dashes. Acrylic paints on 11 x 14 canvas; No experience necessary. All supplies included
June 20 -Leather Belt Bracelets with Beth Holcomb
In this class you will make a beautiful, unique leather bracelet using an old belt. Techniques involved in your design will include measuring, cutting, sanding, setting snaps,painting, stenciling, gluing, wiring or sewing to get the look you want. All materials will be furnished for the design you choose.
