Amidst the planters and fountains, on the Plaza, you will find YARD – an acronym for Yadkin ARts District.
Artist studios are open to the public during posted hours. OPEN signs in front of the studios invite visitors to drop in and meet the artists and watch them work. For more information on artists and studio hours, click HERE.
In Studios A&B you can explore the varied textile work of artist Lisa Reavis Drum.
Studio C is the artistic home of our newest YARD member, Lynn MacMartin. Lynn channels her inner Spirit when creating, mixing in her love of literature, theater and music.
Studio D is the newest artist addition of our Fiber Room Coordinator Leslie Fesperman, a lifetime learner of all things fiber.
Studio E/F is where you get to play with glass. Jody Pounds works in both mosaics and fused glass.
The Yadkin Valley Fiber Room is located just two doors down on Main Street. It is the new home of our fiber program run by Leslie Fesperman. Here we offer classes and workshops in spinning, weaving, and other fiber related crafts.
YARD artists are fully integrated with events and workshops at the Cultural Center and offer classes to the public. Studio tours help to cross-promote cultural tourism in the Yadkin Valley region. And the YARD is only a few steps away from The Third Branch Café and the glass-towered Cultural Center building.
