I am a watercolor artist born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina. I love the challenge and spontaneity that comes in painting with watercolors. I began taking art classes in middle and high school and continued throughout my collegiate education. I graduated from Appalachian State University and worked in the archival and textile arenas until returning to my original love of watercolors.
Capturing light dancing through the trees, the expression on a child’s face, or the intricate beauty of a flower have always been a delight for me. I enjoy painting a wide variety of subjects and I have participated in shows over the past several years including Eye of the Artist and 2nd Saturday’s art program through North Carolina Historic Sites. I also enjoy teaching children’s art classes.
