Artist Statement
My work is inspired by the beauty of nature and the whimsy of imagination. I love to create whimsical and colorful work that stands out in a crowd. Some of my work is based on ocean life and the importance it has in our world and at its design by the creator. While other pieces are based in imagination and fantasy. I love to focus on color and surface texture as a way to create intricate and delicate works that are unique in every way. I love making unique glaze surfaces that are one of a kind and vivid. Creating 3-D works that focus on color texture allow me to express myself and my artistic ability in a way that speaks to me. The main drive of my life and my work is my belief and love of God and how He has influenced my life. I can see the hands of God at work in nature and how everything is made perfectly to work together in unison, this drives my work as it gives me purpose and meaning in life. The second biggest motivation in my life is my beautiful daughter and wanting to foster creativity, imagination, and beauty in her life so she knows all about art and the beautiful design of nature.
I love creating but I also love teaching and being able to share my talents and a small piece of myself with others. My main goal in life is to always make beautiful work that inspires and speaks to people while sharing my creativity and teaching others how to make beautiful works.
