Daniel Patrick Robinson

Artist bio

Daniel Patrick Robinson was born in the beautiful Mid-Hudson valley of New York State. He moved to Southwest Florida in the late 1970’s where he lived for forty years. He and his wife relocated to Lewisville North Carolina in 2018.

Daniel has always been active in the arts and music community. He has worked in many different mediums including stained glass, glass etching, custom rug fabrication and oil on canvas. I look forward to connecting with patrons and fellow artists here in beautiful North Carolina.

Artist Statement

I think the main theme that runs through my art is the juxtaposition of images and the beauty and tragedy that is the human condition. I think a good piece of art should pull people in and have an emotional response, positive or negative.My biggest influence is probably the culture of the 1960’s and 70’s that shaped my youth. Painting is a solitary art form, just you and your imagination. There is something very freeing about that. I am happy to have this skill of creating through experimentation. It is an ongoing challenge that shapes itself with each canvas.
