Artist bio

My name is Matt Fasanella and I’m an artist based in Yadkinville, NC. The mediums I work in and enjoy most are woodcuts and acrylic painting. After working as an Art Director and Production Manager in New York City for 27 years I relocated to the North Carolina to wind down and begin to concentrate on making art I actually enjoy making. My woodcuts focus on positive and negative space with the goal to create contrast and draw the viewer in. Some are very simple while others are more detailed. The wood I use is reclaimed pine shelving mostly from old factories in New England.
